Chiller SaveMaker Goalie Camp 2022
Lead Instructor: Mack Burton
Location: OhioHealth Chiller North - 8144 Highfield Drive, Lewis Center, OH 43035
Ages: 6-12 & 13-18 years old
Camp will focus on:
- Goalie Specific Movement (when and how to use t-pushes, shuffles, butterfly slides, c-cuts, lateral adjustments)
- Positioning and Depth Awareness (angles, square to puck, reading and reacting to game situations)
- Save Techniques and Execution (butterfly save, stick saves, body saves, glove and blocker saves)
- Tips to help goalies STOP MORE PUCKS!
Camp will include:
- 4.5 hrs on-ice goalie specific exercises - goalie edge work, technical and game situational drills
- 2.75 hrs off-ice development. Activities will include yoga, hand-eye coordination, flexibility, balance, and quick/active hands. There will also be goalie seminars on topics such as goal setting, routines, positive attitude, teamwork, preparedness, and choosing the right equipment.
- Varsity, AAA, Junior, Collegiate, or Professional level shooters
- Max 3:1 camper to instructor ratio

About Coach Mack Burton:
Mack spent the last two years coaching Gilmour Academy’s 16u and 18u AAA teams as well as goaltenders. He also worked with Conway Goaltending school in Cleveland where he ran private lessons, camps and clinics and provide goalie training within team practices.
Prior to Gilmour, Mack played four years for Colby College in Waterville, Maine (NCAA DIII) where he was a goaltender. Mack played two years of New England Prep School hockey with Governor’s Academy in Byfield, MA prior to coming to Colby.
Mack grew up playing in Columbus with CCYHA and played three years with Hilliard Hockey Club prior to moving to the East Coast. Mack currently works as a personal trainer in Upper Arlington and leads private goalie lessons at the Chiller.
